Government Minister Winnie Laban will discuss trade and economic integration with other Pacific Island Forum trade ministers tomorrow.
Ms Laban, Minister for Pacific Island Affairs and Associate Trade Minister, is to attend a meeting of trade ministers in Rarotonga in the Cook Islands.
Ministers would discuss the Pacific Agreement on Closer Economic Relations (Pacer).
"The goal is to make it easier for island countries to move towards more competitive, outward looking economies, able to generate the job opportunities that their people need," Ms Laban said.
"The challenge is to work out a way to encourage and support them towards that goal."
