Native Youth Movement Confront Olympic Torch in Secwepemc Nation

The Olympic torch was confronted by Secwepemc and their supporters in the Secwepemc Nation, in the invader (settler) town of Chase, so-called british kkkolumbia, KKKanada.  With the message "Secwepemc Say No Olympics" and "Olympic Torch Not Welcome in Secwepemc Nation"

Secwepemc have a long standing fight with the government of KKKanada and british kkkolumbia because of the fight for Secwepemc Land and Freedom.  Secwepemc have never signed treaties or they have never ceded or surrendered their Secwepemc Nation.  Secwepemc say NO to the BC treaty process, the modern day treaty wants get rid of the Native Peoples and take control of the last remaining lands and water (so-called resources) from their Territory.    

Historic Dispute with Olympics
Secwepemc Land and Freedom Fighters travelled to Europe in 2002 to hand deliver a formal submission to the International Olympic Committee and let the IOC and the World know that the Olympics is not welcome here in so-called KKKanada, because of the long standing Indigenous land dispute and continued violations of Indigenous and Human Rights.  KKKanada does not permission to be here and is currently illegally occupying Indigenous Nations.    

Where ever the Olympics sets foot they wage war on the Earth and the Indigenous Peoples.  No Olympics On Native Land.

Native Youth Movement Says:
The Olympics and KKKanada is using it's global spotlight to market our Indigenous Territories for sale, but we want the World to know "OUR LANDS ARE NOT FOR SALE."  KKKanada is here illegally and "This is all Native Land".  This is simply not just another "issue", We are fighting for our Freedom to continue to exist and live as true Secwepemc on our Lands without any foreign invader occupation on our Lands.  Major corporate sponsors like Coca-cola and RBC (Royal Bank of Canada) are destroying Indigenous Territories all over the World, including the Tar Sands (the most destructive project in the history of humanity).  We are now in the IV World War, the war against the Earth itself.   

We stand in solidarity with all Indigenous Peoples fighting for their Lands and Freedom Worldwide.  

Defend the Earth.  No Olympics on Native Land.  No Trans Canada Hwy expansion through Secwepemc Nation.  No CP Rail expansion through Secwepemc Nation. 
Shut Down the Tar Sands.  Solidarity with the Zapatista. Solidarity with the Mapuche.  Get the Shell Out of Sacred Headwaters -Tahltan Nation.

Two Warriors from the Native Youth Movement (NYM) recently completed a 20 stop speaking tour against the 2010 Winter Olympics planned to be held in unceded Coast Salish Territories (Vancouver/Whistler, british columbia, klanada). They travelled through Mohawk, Annishinabe, Algonquin, Seneca, Cayuga, Penobscott, and Wampanoag Territories. They went to Sharbot Lake and heard of the Struggle against Uranuim Mining, to Tyenindega and heard of the Struggle against the continued invasion into their territory and occupation to close down a rock quarry, to Kanawake and heard about the european invasion surrounding their community, Akwesasne fighting Home Land Security invading their Territory trying to lock down the fake boarder that runs through their community and to Six Nations and there fight against illegal development on their land.

They went to 11 major cities (so-called Montreal, Toronto, Hamilton, Kingston, Peterborough, Ottawa, Portland, Boston, MA, Binghamton, NY Ithaca, NY, Guelph,) and various Native communities. NYM were Nation building, networking, and making alliances to Unite our Struggles for Land, Freedom and Life and Survival. Kanahus Pelkey of the Secwepemc/Ktnuxa Nation, and Dustin Johnson of the Ts'mksiyen Nation represented their respective Nations proudly and did the much needed groundwork to gather support against not only the 2010 Olympics but for the Native Liberation Movement in so called 'north amerikkka'. In the last week of the tour NYM members from the Mohawk and Annishinabe Nations joined their west coast comrades to spread the word and show that Warriorz are United East to West, North to South.

The Native Youth Movement is part of the Zapatista's Other Campaign and are in full Alliance and Agreement with its Principles and Objectives, and just as our Zapatista brothers and sisters travelled the Land to Unite Native Nations, and supporters alike, we are doing the same in the North. Our Fight for life is the same, we must stop the destruction of Mother Earth, nothing can survive without Clean Air, Food, and Water.

On Sunday March 18th Skwelkewkwelt Protection Center, Secwepemc Native Youth Movement Warrior Society, Supporters, Allies from many Native Nations, and International Observers Smashed on Sun Peaks Ski-Resort. The Protest and Press Conference was held to let the world know that Secwepemc People will continue to Fight against the illegal development on Un-Surrendered/Un-Ceded Secwepemc Territory. Sun Peaks is presently in the midst of a 294 million dollar destruction (expansion), & is planning new paved highways to go through our hunting grounds, and continue the Genocide of Native Lands & Way of Life. Sun Peaks is also attempting to become a municipality and take all of our Land, as well as making sewage water into snow and dumping shit on our Sacred mountains. Skwelkwelk’welt is the name for our mountains, that Sun Peaks is now destroying. Skwelkwek’welt is our home, It is home to all the animals and plants that we depend on as a Nation of distinct Peoples. This is our Survival.

As the Native Youth Movement of the Secwepemc Nation, we are asking the world, including athletes and tourists, not to come to Canada for the 2010 Olympics. KKKanada has, & continues to commit Genocide on Native People, but our Warriorz will Fight back. We will not sit back, give up, and assimilate. We are not reformist; we cannot be bought off, or fooled into believing the evil Invaders that they care about us or our Land. An NYM Spokesperson Stated: “We will honor the our Ancestors, and the Warrior codes of Geronimo and Crazy Horse that NO One Has A Right to Sell the Land, Water, or Air. We are Secwepemc, we still exist, and continue to survive from the land and our traditional territory, the Western Hemisphere is all Indian Land!

We need the help and support of the world to help stop the destruction of the Land and our way of Life.
